1. Start with a treatment plan
Know what problem is being treated and what procedures have actually been proposed. For complex treatment, a second opinion can be useful before comparing destinations.
2. Make quotes comparable
Ask each provider to itemize procedures, materials, imaging, temporary work, lab fees and follow-up. A cheap headline price is not useful if important items are missing.
3. Add the trip
Include flights, lodging, local transportation, meals, companion costs, missed work and a contingency buffer. Some implant cases require more than one trip.
4. Check the provider
Verify the dentist's licensure/registration in the relevant country, ask who will actually perform the work, and understand who handles follow-up after you return home.
5. Decide whether travel still wins
The right answer can be home care, travel care, phased treatment, a dental school, financing, or another option. The goal is a better decision, not travel for its own sake.
6. Request responses only when ready
When you want provider responses, use our quote form. With your consent, we may share the inquiry with up to three relevant dental providers.
